| CASE STUDIES: MAKING
QUICK WORK OF A MESSY SITUATION. |
 |
| Thanks to Letterle’s expertise
and professionalism, claims were approved in just a week and new owners
were quickly accommodated at a site in North Versailles, Pennsylvania. |
 |
| It’s a fact of life these days that everyone’s in a hurry.
The trouble is, it’s not enough to think fast. You also have
to act responsibly. |
 |
| At Letterle, we do an excellent job
of combining the two attributes to give you a successful outcome. |
 |
| Take, for instance, this project in North Versailles. Our client,
the former property owner, was responsible for cleaning up petroleum
impacted soil and groundwater underneath the site. But the new owner
was in a hurry to redevelop the site and get his business up and running. |
 |
| Our mission was clear. We had to do a good job of assessing and remediating,
and we had to do it quickly. |
 |
| On behalf of our client, we immediately applied for financial liability
coverage under the Pennsylvania Underground Storage Tank Indemnification
Fund. Pushed by the new owner’s construction schedule, Letterle
worked closely with administrators to rapidly determine eligibility
for funding. In approximately one week, the claim was approved. |
 |
 |
 |
Still there was no time to waste. Before the site was re-surfaced
in asphalt, Letterle had to install the subsurface portion of the
remediation system. This was accomplished in what seemed like record
time -- within just a few weeks of when the petroleum release was
discovered. Most projects of this magnitude would take months to complete. |
|
 |
| And now for the results of the rush job: The site was completely remediated,
to regulatory standards, in only three years. The new business started
without a hitch. And our client got rid of one big headache -- fast. |
